A Mudéjar gate-tower of brick and glazed ceramic, built between 1315 and 1316, with the Andaquilla slope running under it. Between 1549 and 1551 Quinto Pierres Vedel removed the houses built against it to open a square in front and added a reinforcement of ashlar at its base, because damp had eroded the lower part. One can walk under its pointed vault; a restoration from 2002 to 2007 recovered the old entrance.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
