A Gothic cathedral begun in 1226, whose medieval body predates these years; this card covers its dated parts from after 1492: the lower choir stalls by Rodrigo Alemán (1495 to 1498), the upper ones by Vigarny and Berruguete (finished in 1543), the dome of the Mozarabic chapel by Jorge Manuel Theotocópuli (1622 to 1631) and Narciso Tomé's Transparente (1729 to 1732). Visitors now enter by the neoclassical Puerta Llana, built in 1800.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
