The design is attributed to Juan Bautista Monegro, the altarpiece façade is by Francisco Bautista and Bartolomé Zumbigo finished the towers and the façade; it was consecrated unfinished in 1718 and completed in 1765, two years before the Jesuits were expelled. The towers can be visited, with views of the cathedral and the alcázar.
