A church rebuilt in the early 14th century by Gonzalo Ruiz de Toledo on a mosque, with the minaret turned into a Mudéjar bell tower. This card covers the Chapel of the Conception, where the lord of Orgaz is buried: around 1586, for El Greco's Burial of the Count of Orgaz, the parish priest Andrés Núñez de Toledo reformed it with a new square plan and a half-sphere vault. It is visited to see the painting, and an entrance fee is charged.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
