Charles III wanted to move his sword factory, running since 1761 in the old Mint, out of the city, and from 1777 the plan was to relocate it to the bank of the Tagus, where the king had Francesco Sabatini build a new building, whose main part was finished in 1780. That palace is the origin of an industrial complex that closed in 1996. Since 1998 it has been occupied by the campus of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
