The main church of Úbeda, built on the site of the main mosque after the conquest of 1233, with a Gothic cloister of the late 15th century. Around 1510 work began on the Renaissance doorway that opens the church onto the square, finished in 1645 to designs by Pedro de Vera. It was badly damaged in the Civil War and was closed for restoration from 1983 to 2011.
