The church of the Dominican convent, whose building Cardinal Torquemada began to pay for in 1445 and to which Fray Alonso de Burgos added the cloister, the refectory and the lower part of the façade, which Simón de Colonia finished around 1500. In 1601 the Duke of Lerma, its patron, paid for the remodelling of the main façade and an enlargement of the church by Diego de Praves, and between 1613 and 1616 chapels and choir were rebuilt in the Herrerian style. Only the church survives of the convent, beside the Colegio de San Gregorio.
