A palace whose construction began in the 15th century and where Felipe II was born in 1527, when the royal family lodged in it during the Cortes. Its plateresque corner window, from the early 16th century, stands out, with grotesques after the paintings of the Domus Aurea. Much altered, it was restored from 1985, is the seat of the Provincial Council and has had an exhibition hall since 1990.
