Cardinal Mendoza's college, whose works began in 1486 and which opened in 1491. From the years after come the courtyard pillars, which Juan de Nates replaced in 1603, the top storey of the cloister, of 1744, and the façade openings, which Ventura Rodríguez designed in 1761 and his nephew Manuel Martín finished in 1768. It is the seat of the rector of the University of Valladolid and of two university museums, one of them of African art.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
