The Neoclassical cathedral that Josep Moretó i Codina built between 1781 and 1803 on the site of the Romanesque one, of which the crypt and the bell tower of the 11th century survive; the round church of Santa Maria, which stood in front, was pulled down in 1787. The Josep Maria Sert paintings seen today date from 1939 to 1945, since those of 1930 burned in 1936, and the cathedral reopened in 1945. It can be visited.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
