A Baroque church promoted by Vicente de Oña, Grand Castellan of Amposta, on the site of the Romanesque church of the Knights of St John; work began around the middle of the 16th century and it was consecrated in 1725. It keeps the octagonal brick tower of the 16th century, Mudéjar with Renaissance touches, and the chrismon of the Romanesque church. A fire in 1935 destroyed almost all its contents.
