The church of the Escuelas Pías, built between 1736 and 1740 to a design by Francisco de Velasco, with a single nave, chapels between the buttresses and a high altarpiece by José Ramírez de Arellano. It is part of the Piarist school where Goya learned his first letters; of the original complex only the church, the courtyard and part of the cloister remain.
