The archbishop's palace, which since the 12th century has stood on a plot beside the wall and the Seo and which Archbishop Agustín de Lezo Palomeque remodelled drastically between 1779 and 1787. It has a two-storey brick façade with the portal between Ionic columns and a notable staircase, and keeps an Immaculate Conception by Francisco Bayeu of 1758 and Goya's portrait of Archbishop Joaquín Company, of 1800. It is the archbishop's residence and houses the Alma Mater Museum.
