A three-aisled basilica with its apse to the west, founded in the 4th century and remodelled twice in this era: in the 6th century, which its article puts down to the Byzantine presence, the nave was raised and the apse made monumental, and in the 7th the nave was closed off from the aisles and a small baptistery or mausoleum was added. It is not where it was built: it came to light in 2003 in the works for the A-45 and between 2005 and 2008 it was taken down and rebuilt in the polígono de la Viñuela at Lucena, from its own stones, with the walls raised to 1.80 metres and copies of bases and shafts. What a visitor sees is therefore a museum reconstruction.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
